hello doug! For activating the category view do following:
1: click contact from menu bar and click activate the category view of contact, it must be checked to see the category view 2: when it's done, again click the same option and you will see options such as friends, skype contacts, all contacts make all of them checked, and check your contact list, you'll see the group names, when you see the group name, press left arrow, left arrow will collapse it, again press the right arrow and right arrow will expand it. it's really easy to do it and i'm using this, even i hide my ofline and ofline and also call forwarded contact like you. hope you can do a script message for announcing it expanded or collapsed.
