I don't have voicemail enabled in Skype 4.1 either, but, ever since I've
installed the latest version of Skype, I've had the same problem as Larry,
namely Skype hanging up very soon after anybody starts calling me. I've also
had that problem the other way round: in other words when I call somebody
Skype doesn't ring for very long before Skread tells me the call has been
refused.
It's very rare that I'm away from the computer when my Skype rings, but,
even though I have hotkeys to focus Skype and to answer a call, I don't
always get to the Skype window and hit alt+page-up fast enough when I hear
Skype ringing, so I get a lot more missed calls than before now that I'm
using the newest version of Skype.
I had heard about this problem from a couple of friends before Larry
mentioned it in his post to this list, so I assume that this is a bug with
the latest version of Skype 4.1. I'm sure we all hope that this bug will
disappear in a future release of Skype.
In the meantime, it's a great pity that there is no option in Skype to set
the number of times it rings, or the length of time it rings, before the
call is refused, or before Skype switches to voicemail for those who have
that set up.
If anyone has a solution to this problem, other than just hoping that this
bug disappears, I'll be interested to know about it.

I am now receiving skype calls and after maybe 15 or so seconds, skype
hangs
up.
why is this?
This usually does not give me time to run in from the other room to pick
up
the call.
I can go back in to history and call the person back but this takes time.
Is there a setting to stop skype from arbitrarily hanging up on someone
after only a few seconds?
