Hi!
When I used call burner uder XP, it was brilliant at recording both sides of
the conversation equally well, stored the conversation directly as MP3 and I
never had to wonder if it was recording or not. It just always was.
Configuration was a bit tricky, but I eventually got there, and once
everythinbg was set as I wanted, I never had to change anything. As the
saying goes, it just worked. There was no need to edit later because I had
what I needed, when I needed it.
The call burner people were responsive to Emails and generally had helpful
explanations which arguably wouldn't have been needed if a good manual had
been available. When I recently decided I wanted to be able to record Skype
calls again, I enquired abouut transferring the call burner license I'd
bought. In that regard, they were responsive and positive, so I got it
installed. Gave permition to Skype to allow Call burner to access Skype, and
each conversation now has an entry, but it only contains an ini file.
Email to the call burner team yielded the result that there was a problem
with screen reader compatibility in the most recent version, and I was
advised to down grade, which I did attempt, without no improvement.

I myself use call burner. You can record 2 sides of a conversation
seprately and edit them later.

The program is free and pretty accessible with JAWS.
