Hi Dan. Make sure that your system tray notifications are enabled, since
Skype Watch reads what is displayed in the system tray. You'll find it
under Tools/Options/Notifications. Just check the boxes for which you
want Skype Watch to read the notifications.
An important thing to remember here is that, if you're running Skype 4.2,
you won't hear any Skype Watch announcements, because the notifications
are of such a nature that JAWS cannot read them (layman's explanation
*lol*). If you want announcements of contacts signing in and out, you need
to get Hrvoje Katic's Skype Talking program, which can be downloaded from
www.skypetalking.googlecode.com.
Finally, to find out what version of Skype you're running, open the Skype
window and press Insert+Ctrl+V.

I have two questions.
I have recently installed the latest skype with the latest Jaws scripts,
and I notice that skypewatch tells me if I'm on line or away but nothing
else. I can tell when other users come on line because I hear the sound.
also, If I go into skype help and click about to see what version I'm
running, Jaws doesn't read it even with the Jaws cursor. It just says
something like "about splash" this is in compact view, but I haven't
tried changing the view.
Can I get some help with this?
