Hi Doug love mine it works good. Use it for skype and dragon when I use dragon and it works really nicely. The range is pretty good to. It had some issues with my Bluetooth dongle being too close to it at first but once I got those works out it worked wonderful. It gives you about 8 hours of talk time and only need a 2 hour charge. The battery will last longer if the mike is up about 11 hours or so. The mike is wonderful picks up you and nothing else got good noise canceling capability. The headsets are comfortable I can even ware them for a long time with my hearing aids in place. As you know that was a problem for me in the past. Not that you're going to care about this but they work good with the t setting of the hearing aid so if someone decides that they want to play a flute at you over skype the hearing aids safety systems can cut in and you're not rolling around on the floor in agony. Lol. Using them with skype out also works good. The person on the other end can't even tell you are using skype. So I would say to anyone that wants to give these a try to go for it.

My model is old by now though, and the newer one is said to be smaller. Mine mutes the mic when you raise it vertical, and it actually has a button for answering Skype calls on Windows. I don't know if the current model does those things. Logitech: More comfortable for me at least, lighter and smaller and less of a squeeze on my head. Shorter range: I've had interferance at about 20-30 feet in some cases. Much less bass on transmission to whoever you're talking to, though whether that's good or bad may be a matter of opinion. Less bass in the earphones as well though, which can matter if you're playing music, but not so much for a Skype call. One interesting feature is that the Logitech charges only from the wall, whereas the Freetalk charges only from USB. This means you can charge the Logitech without being near your computer, but you can't charge it at all when you're not near AC power. The Logitech has a large mute button and also mutes when you raise the mic vertical, not sure why they did that both ways. I find this a disadvantage because I can't see the light that shows sighted people when it's sending or muted. I've learned how to tell most of the time by a small pop it makes when you put it on mute, so I can tap the mute button a time or two to make sure I'm not muted. The Logitech does not beep when it's about to die, it just dies. The Freetalk does beep, maybe even ten minutes early if I had to guess. So how does the Plantronics stack up with all this?
