Something I found out the hard way back when i was still in my late teens
and involved in a LDR was you don't just get charged a long distance fee for
calling Canada from the U.S. not sure about the other way around but rather
than long distance they want to call it an International call with some
carriers so they can charge more money. If you decide to go that way I would
definitely make sure the U.S. is included in that plan. Once I recieved the
5000.00 phone bill I started making sure I ask them all the questions I can
possibly think of such as fees, hidden charges, where exactly I can call on
the plan, is there a connection fee when calling out of the country and so
on. I don't tell this to scare a person away from doing what is suggested
just to try and help others from making the mistake I made.

local to you having to call long-distance. However you could get
Unlimited Long distance from Bell Canada on your regular phone
then call forward it to your U. S. Skype-In number. Your callers
just phone your regular number but reach you on Skype. Be
certain to check with the phone company that the unlimited long
distance includes Call Forwarding. Think the Unlimited Long
Distance is around $20.00 per month plus taxes.
