i have been to the options and set a hot key of shift and down arrow to mute
the microphone
tried this on call test and it works
but i see no choice to unmute the microphone in the options hot key section
how do i set an unmute key for this?
and i am a skype talking user where would i find the settings in skype
talking

Hello Yvonne,
if you open the Skype main window and then go to tools and then options,
and
then go down to hotkeys. You will find an option there that will allow
you
to set a hotkey for muting the microphone. Simply select a hotkey of your
choice and save the settings.
If you are a SkypeTalking user. There is a hotkey to perform this
function
as well and you can configure it to your liking from the SkypeTalking
preferences dialog. Under hotkeys.

how do i mute the microphone during a conversation with someone so that
