Hey Sarah,
the fact is that the voice "Remove from conversations list" was removed, I
am afraid, in Skype 5. Delete key only hides the currently highlighted
conversation, but it will still be visible choosing "Show hidden
conversations" from the view menu. I think the only way to delete them
completely is to empty the whole history in the privacy settings, and I do
it myself sometimes if I find some new events but I cannot realize which
conversation do they belong to.
