I just verified that this trick works, but you lose the verbosity settings, including the Skypewatch one, because the Skype scripts have to be running for those to appear. You can still type Alt+Shift+F9 or Ctrl+ScrollLock+F9 twice quickly to toggle on/off the Skypewatch announcements.
