Hi Sati and list. Unchecking the box that causes Skype to show on the task
bar will indeed cause Skype to be minimised to the system tray when the
Skype window is closed with Alt+F4.

This is not what he's talking about. He wants skype to stay in the
SystemTray like it does in Windows XP and Vista, instead of staying as an
open window you can alt-Tab to. Unchecking Skype from the Advanced tab to
not show on the taskbar will not solve the problem of keeping the skype
window open. This is an issue with Windows 7 and Skype and I don't know
why
the publishers of Skype are not fixing that.

Try taking it out of the task bar. Then it'll go out of the alt tab list.
Should be an option for it in tools, or else look in control panel.

Hi folks.
I can't get the Skype window to go away. I'm using Skype 5.3 and Windows
7
Professional 64-bit. The window is minimized but when I
alt+tab through open applications, there it is again. I've tried f4,
alt+doing a simulated left click on the close symbol, etc.
The only way I can get it to disappear is by ending the program through
the
Task manager.
Is this a bug in Skype or am I doing something wrong?
