this is true because skype has issues reporting to msaa the correct state
of sertain check boxes. for example if you are in the list of sounds and
you arrow down to a sound event. it will report if it is checked or not.
then when you change it state it will report to msaa the same state it was
when the check box in the list gets focused. you have to refocused the
check box to get the new state reported.
this has been a skype issue for a long time. it would be nice verces having
all these work arounds if the skype team would just fix the issue.

The scripts sometimes have to rely on screen color of checkmarks, I
think. This can mean that alterations in color depth, background color
