After I have checked all of the software I want updated, I couldn't find the
button to do so. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Simon.
One very simple way to get Skype is available at www.ninite.com
simply go down the list of checkboxes for the programs that you want to
download and check those that you do want to download. Then, after you
have selected the programs you want you will then click on the get
installer button. Now you will need to click on the download installer
link.
If David is running Internet Explorer 8 a dialog box will appear asking
you whether you want to run or save the program you're about to
download. In this case select run after the download is completed User
Account Control will open and ask you if you want to allow this program to
make changes to your system simply say yes. Wait a few moments click on
the close button and your finish. This is the beauty of an unattended
installation.
If David is running Internet Explorer nine. When you click on the
download link he will not see the dialog mentioned above. Instead this
information will be presented in the notification bar jaws 12 should say
something like the notification bar wants attention please press alt and
to focus the notification bar. . So at this point all you have to do is
press alt and he will then be presented with the same options that the
dialogue described above, would have presented him with run or save
select the run option and proceed with the process as described above.

No the link did not work for me. I went through the whole thing of
registering again but when I got to a part where it asked me to choose a
plan the window just disappeared.
I looked for a download of skype in both start menu and desk top but
nothing. I use win 7 and jaws 12 latest.
I am not really good at this stuff at all so it may very be me.
