Does your new mic sound as good or better than the Blue Snowball?
They sound pretty good for a USB mic.
Honestly, it won't hurt anything leaving that soundcard option in
there. Plus, if you ever plug a microphone in through it's 1/8"
jacks, you'll be able to select it in Skype.
That said, removing the item shouldn't break anything, as long as
you leave it listed under speakers.
