for some reason insert f7 gives no results

No, go to Skype home area, press insert+f7, place the second "home" link
and press enter, insert+f7 again, find the disconnect link and hit enter.
The procedure is clearly indicated in an audio tutorial by Doug Lee, which

If you aren't able to luisten the file you may need to install the
oggcodecs, so download them here:
