I have received the following information from what I regard as a reliable source:
GW Skype is an actual Skype replacement application, not something to run alongside Skype itself. It is natively accessible and supports most every Skype function except video at this time. It natively works with JAWS, Window-Eyes, NVDA, possibly other screen readers, and even works without any screen reader using Windows' native speech engines. It is free and does not in any way require Window-Eyes or any other GW Micro product. It does not require, and technically probably doesn't support, add-ons like SkypeTalking, Clisk, or screen reader-specific scripts like my JAWS scripts for Skype. Again though, since GW Skype is natively accessible, the idea is that those things are simply not necessary. Hope this is helpful to all. -- Doug Lee [email protected] http://www.dlee.org SSB BART Group [email protected] http://www.ssbbartgroup.com "There are no guarantees.
