Hi Sarah, Thank you for the suggestion in your reply, however, it prompts two questions.
1. Will your suggestion still work if the boom microphone and headset are plugged in to my PC directly rather than through the hub and external soundcard, as I no-longer have the external soundcard, due to accidentally breaking it. 2. When you say "go to advanced and move the mic part if you see it up to the top and skype will then recognise it". Please can you clarify what you mean by "up to the top". Are you meaning to move the microphone volume to maximum? Thank you in advance for your reply.
