Hi! I'm sorry if I sound a bit harsh here, but aren't you making a fuss over something which is, quite frankly, a luxury only JAWS users have? Does having no typing sound mean you can't do text chats in Skype? Certainly not! Sure, it was nice to have it back in my JAWS days, but I've managed fine without it since I stopped being a full-time JAAWS user, and I'm sure everyone else who doesn't use JAWS has no problems doing text chatting in Skype without a typing sound. Having said that, though, I join all Windows Skype users in being grateful for everything which has been done to make Skype for Windows more accessible, including the JAWS xcripts and SkypeTalking.
