Hi, open the Skype main window. Now open the options dialog. Go to the advanced part of the tree tab to the check box that reads keep Skype in the task bar while I am signed in. uncheck this check box. Tab to the save button and press the space bar. The problem will be solved and when you close Skype it will return to the notification area verses staying in the running applications tool bar. Hth

You can fix that by going to the skype options page under the tools menu, then errow down until you reach the advanced tab, press the tab key until you reach a check box that says "keep skype in the task bar while signed in" and uncheck it, then press the save button and that's all, from now on when you are in skype and you press alt f4 skype will get of your way. good luck.
