Each is of course ok choosing his or her own solution, but here's what I think:
GW Connect's goal is to make things easier for blind users by replacing Skype itself with an accessible alternative. By contrast, the JAWS scripts and, for that matter, my Clisk utility, are aimed at providing better accessibility to the main client. If the main client is updated, users of GW Connect will have to wait for GW Micro to make updates to that alternative. Users of the main Skype program have the option of forging ahead even if I'm behind at putting out script and Clisk updates. Whether this is a criteria for choosing a path depends on how much the new features in Skype matter to you, whether you care to fight with possible issues in Skype before I can address them, and how fast GW Micro is at making GW Connect updates. For my part, I prefer sticking to the main client so I can continue to develop scripts and such for people.
