Got to admit Doug I have no issues with your scripts and Skype works a treat
and when I have had a couple of little issues you sorted them straightaway.
I tried gw micro for about two days before realising there was just to much
missing.

Each is of course ok choosing his or her own solution, but here's what
I think:
GW Connect's goal is to make things easier for blind users by
replacing Skype itself with an accessible alternative. By contrast,
the JAWS scripts and, for that matter, my Clisk utility, are aimed at
providing better accessibility to the main client. If the main client
is updated, users of GW Connect will have to wait for GW Micro to make

scripts and such for people. My criteria, though, are clearly a bit
different than most. :)

Raaj,
I don't think that Brian needs a drastic software change. Ok, if he
upgraded Skype it's better that he also upgrades JAWS scripts since
the scripts he uses, if he has them obviously, will probably not
work with the latest version which is 5.10, they surely won't if
they're meant for older Skype versions.
For knowing your online status, you can try to view the system tray
icon, or in the Skype menu goto Online Status submenu; the voice
which says "Checked unavailable" is surely the one which is
currently active.
