Well just don't worry, you can perfectly use your skype with NVDA.
In fact NVDA that's the only screen reader I use for my dailly tasks and
works just fine for me.
Once you receive a incoming chat just find it's window and read it normaly
as usual w with your harrows.
After press shift tab till you find a place to type your chat.
Once you get used to it, you'll find it easy.
Of course don't forget to check everything on skype related to
accessibility.

I’m trying to get used to use NVDA for several days but I’m having
