Hi! It's all very well saying that extra JAWS scripting can solve your problem, Jim, but what about those who don't use JAWS? What about users of NVDA and other screenreaders? There should be some workround which works regardless of which screenreader people use, that's my opinion anyway! I use NVDA with Skype myself, but I don't use either Facebook or Messenger with Skype: however, there must be plenty of NVDA users out there, and users of other screenreaders apart from JAWS and NVDA come to that, who have the same problem as you, so if anyone can come up with a screenreader-neutral work-around that'll be great. At least it is not shown here. You can check the context menu, and you will find that the options when you're dealing with a Facebook contact are not as numerous as those for a Skype contact. That being said, simply reading the line below the contact wih the jaws or invizable cursor is much more efficient than that of going through the entire context menu. Better yet, if the script for JAWS say next line, And say previous line could get this information and automatically reported when you are going through the Skype contact list. This would be even more efficient.
