Doug, I sent you a few tweets explaining my issue. Here you are the
error log file coppied below. As you said I guess it is a VBScript error
but I wonder why this never happened on this same machine, same OS in
older revisions?

I need someone to work with on this problem as well. It would require

just described above. I installed the new skype update a few days ago,
then installed your latest revision of the scripts but what happened
was that the script installer kept displaying error messages with all
the versions of jaws I have on my machine. I have jaws 12 French, 13
and 14 English versions. After a long series of pressing ok on the
script installer, I ended up with the scripts not being installed at

jaws versions I have though, they kept still functioning properly with
no problems except that the scripts didn't install. I had to remove
the new skype update and downgrade to Skype version 6.7 and the old

cluttering the list with an issue that no one else has :)!!
Again Thank you very much and I am happy with skype 6.7 so far and
the old scripts. I just hope that this problem doesn't persist with me
and with others in the future

In summary though, you do the following to get your JAWS back:
1. Run jaws12 /default (replace "12" with your JAWS version number)
>from the Windows Run box, or use another JAWS version or screen reader
that still works.
2. Open the JAWS user folder for the troubled JAWS version by going to
Start, All Programs, JAWS 12.0 (or whatever version just blew up),
Explore JAWS, Explore My Settings.
3. Find and delete the file called default.jsb. Be careful that you
have default.jsb, where the last letter is b as in "boy." If your
Windows Explorer does not show file extensions, use the file type
description column in the Details view to figure out the file type.
Alt+V D, at least in English Windows installations, will switch
Windows Explorer to Details view.
Once you do these things, your JAWS should again work properly. The
scripts will also work for Skype 6.9 at this point, though you will
not have SkypeWatch enabled.
Details on how to help me figure out what's causing this problem and
how to fix it appear in the above podcast.
