No. that version of skype and jaws9 wont work anymore. you need to upgrade
that jaws to a later version. this shouldn't be a problem as you have 3 keys
to use and can get them reset if you need.
Jaws15 and Skype 6.18 (The latest versions) will work with the newest
version of the jaws scripts.
Try to do this on your Xp box and let us know if things work for you.

Skype used to work fine with Jaws9. I think it is a Skype problem, not
Jaws. About the messages, this seems to happen only in one window. I
did check the view to be on Compact. I made sure it is in accessible
mode and all the other usual things. I am wondering if the problem
could be some hacking into my Skype account or a problem with the
username and perhaps I should change my username.

to update at least to 11 latest update or even better 12, and then to
install Skype's latest version with current scripts (if you wish,

For the chat messages, if you want them to be separated as was in Skype
