Hello Mike,
do the following if using JAWS scripts by Doug Lee:
1. open a chat with the person who sent you the file;
2. press ctrl+5 to go to the messages list for this particular
conversaztion;
3. press end key to go to the bottom of the conversation. You should
find the item saying that he/she sent you the file, if not go up with
arrows till you find that one;
4. press tab to the save button and activate it with a spacebar;
5. that will open a window saying "Save as", choose where to save it and
then you're ready to go. By default Skype saves files in your documents
if I am not wrong...
