If you do not have Jaws and need to download a file you were sent do the
following:

1. highlight the name in your recent conversations of the person who sent you a
message. You can tell if a message has been sent because there will be a
number beside the name.
2. press the application key
3. arrow down to "send IM" and enter
4. shift tab to see the messages sent
5. when you find a message that states that a file was sent or a voicemail tab
to save or play.

Note if you need to copy a message press the application key and arrow to copy
message.

Subject: [Skypeenglish] downloading files that someone has sent to you
viaSkype

  Hello fellow Skype users:

For any of you who used it, when you transfered files back and forth between
yourself and another person, the files could easily be downloaded the computer
with just a few button presses. However, due to Microsoft suddenly deciding to
cut support, we can no longer do this and have had to revert back to standard
Skype.

Is there an accessible way to download files in Skype? Even when we're
offline, people can still send us stuff over Skype, but when you receive
something, how do you download it to your computer via Skype? Thanks.

  Mike

If we can't look at ourselves, and ask, why? then where does the learning
start?
