Well I use myself an iPhone 4S so I can try to help...
Basically, for iOS apps and/or updates, the App Store is the only way
for installing all. Possibly, going to Skype's website you will be able
to find the direct link from the App Store, or maybe Google Play as
well, but I need to verify this.
