Yes, the mood message disappears with simple list view enabled. Not only
that, but the avatars of our contacts disappear as well. But as you
said, since the MSAA string doesn't change, the experience for us is the
same. Maybe the list of contacts will load faster with that simple list
view enabled, since the avatars will not load as well. But I'm only
guessing here, because my contact list is not large - about 100 contacts
and the effect of faster loading will probably be noticed only with a
much larger contacts list.
BTW: The avatars of the users/conversations will load also for the
"RECENT" list, witch was not the case with older versions of Skype. The
"RECENT" lists in those older versions was a simple list view.
