Hello,
keep in mind that alt+f4 will only close the main Skype window, but if
you want to completely quit Skype use alt+shift+f4 twice quickly.
If you want to minimize Skype in the system tray alt+f4 is ok, but if
you're running Windows 7, and not sure with later systems, go to Tools /
Options, down till Advanced, and uncheck the option: "Keep Skype in the
taskbar while I am logged in".
