Hi, thanks, I tried the website, but am having problems still with removing
files like it's telling me too. For example, it tells me Skype is running,
and to shut it down, but it's not showing up on the system tray, and when I
hit enter on the icon on the desk top, nothing happens, so it's like it
isn't even open. I tried shutting down then re-booting my laptop, and I
noticed Skype didn't even seem to sign in, there wasn't the skype sign in
sound, so to me it wasn't even running, but windows still seems to think it
is.
I'm at the taring my hair out stage now lol.

Hi John, I can't seem to find the advanced uninstall option for Skype in
control pannel, and can't even get into skype itself to access the advanced
settings. When I press enter on Skype, nothing happens, I don't even hear
the sign in sound. It looks like I might have to have a friend tandom with
me to try and fix it, I've done another security scan, but everything looks
fine.

get a copy of Revo uninstaller. uninstall Skype (using the advance option
and make sure to remove all traces of it with that program.) then reinstall
it. if you need more help, let me know.

Hi guys, I had a skype update box appeare the other day out of nowhere, and
as I was in another window at the time, I hit enter, not realising the
update window was in place over the one I was working in. Skype updated,
and now it won't open or uninstall. I'm getting messages about source files
not matching when I try to remove Skype 6.0 from my system, and when I hit
enter to try to open skype, nothing happens for about a minute, then i get a
message saying something about skype timeout error. I've done a virus scan,
and it's not picking anything up. I also tried putting Skype-talking on my
computer too, but that hasn't helped either. Could anyone on here suggest
anything? I'm not sure what that update did, but it seems to have messed up
my system. I'm using windows 7, and jaws 14.0.
