Hi guys I'm not sure which version of skype Octavian is running but i'm using 6.22 and have no problem saving files.
You need to go to options, Sms and im settings and tab to advanced. Hit enter and tab round to the automatically save file checkbox. You can leave it on the skype saved folder or select one for yourself.
