Hi, Sarah. Below, I'm going to give a detailed account of where I went, and
what happened when I started a new account on Skype.
I went to skype.com. When I went there, because I had been there before, it
signed me into skype with my skype name automatically, without me having to
enter any details. I then clicked Sign Out. I was then signed out. I clicked
Set Up A New Account. When I clicked that link, I was signed in to skype
again automatically. I clicked Sign Out again, and then clicked Set Up A New
Account again. This time, instead of signing me into Skype automatically, it
gave me the Set Up A New Account Screen which has the places for a new skype
name, as well as a password field, and a password confirmation field. It
also has a field with a CAPTCHA which can be solved visually, or with an
audio challenge.
I think it works this way because there are cookies on the computer which
keep a record of a Skype login name and password. Once I signed out for that
second time, I think the record of my currently logged in Skype account were
destroyed. By this, I mean that they were not viewed by my computer or by
the website as a current account for me to log into. This does not mean that
I cannot log into these accounts in the future. They just are not viewed as
an account which the computer is meant to log into automatically.

That's how I tried to do it on the web as well. the same window showed.
and I was not signed in at all at that time. So now I'm very confused

I did this already. Still no joy. I don't see the don't have a skype
link anyware. I'm very stumpped by this. I can't even do this on the
website.

have your old Skype name populating one of the fields, you won't be

Nope. I see
2 items Sign in with Skype or Microsoft account
Then my skype name, then collapsed pop up button, then a password
field a grayed out sign in button then create an account, then
problems signing in. Finally, a sign in with facebook. If I click the
pop up button I just see the names I have. Now what? I'm actually very
stumped here.

Actually it doesn't. I see create a new account, but I don't see a
place to enter a skype name.I see the following.
Create account
Then the place where you enter your phone number. Then under that
Use your email instead
Choosing Next means that you agree to the Privacy Statementand
Microsoft Services Agreement.
Then sign in with a different account. No ware do I see "don't have
a skype name. Using Version 7.33 (206)

that, you will see a link which says Create A New Account. This is
the link you should click on. But it won't appear until you click
Sign In.

Hello to all. I'm trying to create a new account with skype for
personal and possibly professional reasons. I signed out of my old
account but don't see a don't have a skype name link anywhere as
the instructions say. I even tried doing this on the website and
no joy. For those that need to know what I'm talking about here is

latest skype for mac, but I'm reading on the forums that people on
windows are having the same trouble. What can I do from here?
