I think that any technical solution involving CPU resource balancing
is going to require Linux kernel hacking and is probably outside
Linden Labs core business (to say the least). Hypervisors, if not
already in use, would add significant overhead. This is not really a
technical issue, it's a matter of establishing a business case at LL
and so it's really outside the scope of this list.
My comments on this subject are on record in the forums. I voted for
the 1776 Jira, but I'm not going to discuss things there, either.
