When do they expect to have it done again? I'm eager to try it. Do they plan to have the OSS libraries auto-download as source, with the closed ones downloaded per architecture? 64-bit closed libraries is kind of important I think, since if we can't build them ourselves we'll at least need them for the right architecture. Vivox comes to mind - I don't want to lose something that's working now.
