Don't blame Glen. I'm the one who suggested this was a way to humor the ex-CEO. Of course I smile when I say that. You don't think just because you used to be the boss that we'd cut you some slack, do you? :-) It does make sense, or course. If one person can maintain the Dale Glass viewer, or the Nicolas viewer, or Kirsten's viewer, it must be possible to find one person in Linden that could maintain an alternate viewer. However, no one has a problem with Dale or Nicolas or Kirsten deciding what they want to incorporate in their viewers. But this won't be perceived as "Philip's viewer," it'll be seen as "Linden's alternate viewer" and hey, why can't I get my shiny new feechur in there? I'm not clear what the criteria would be to decide who gets commit access.
