I've heard a lot of people mentioning this before.

That seems a bit much. Does that mean SL tries to keep that in RAM, or
that it pages it to disk, or something else? I'd like to know how SL
tries to handle this "maximum of 2GB" for the next time someone brings
up chat lagging.

We can edit our own .xml files, so no recompile is required to test
this. Will the xml files be replaced on every new version, or are they
persistent?
