Be warned that NONE of the JDBC/J2EE based stores can be safely used with access control, unless you take care to never set an ACL with more than one ACE. See the discussion of this a few months back as to why (fixing it requires minor db schema changes).
Ahhh. Thanks for reminding me. Could you propose anything of a change. I presume giving the entries some sort of order would do, wouldn't it?

That said, the db stores have come a long way - but have, as you've discovered, diverged quite a lot. If someone's interested in building a single, "good" version out of the various db stores, and fixing the ACL problems, we should get that committed somewhere - not having it makes it difficult for 'normal' users to get a working/useful slide installation.
I completely agree and that exactly is my intention. Merge stores into a single version, fixinig the ACL thing (how depends on what Peter has almost finished) and finally commit it.
