I have both Slide and Subversion running in my shop, and I have it on my 
tasklist - 

"Combine SCM & DocumentManagement into single WebDAV-compliant software - 
Slide/Subversion?"

There is a beautiful article at 
http://www.bcholmes.org/geek/slide-contentmgmt.html that I printed out and 
posted on my wall that shows very clearly the different 'niches', even though 
there are many similarities.

Hopefully Slide will become what this article talks about - one repository to 
rule them all...
