I would be interested in contributing to the slide effort. I feel the website needs more complete documentation for some of the source code as well as configuration guides (specifically Domain.xml configuration). Including some sample java code for adding/retrieving content may not be a bad idea either. I feel I could have gotten slide up and running faster with more complete documentation.
I would be willing to contribute to the documentation as well as put together some sort of tutorial or guide. Any thoughts on this? regards, dan -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2003 12:01 PM To: Slide Users Mailing List Subject: Re: newbie question about slide future How about we make a concerted effort to bring it alive again then? I am sure the developers are working hard quietly on the side, but perhaps uz users can collaborate with them and submit changes with a fixed date of the next version as a goal to work to? In my experience with the WebDav client, it works well enough if you discard the HttpClient and write you own wrapper class. It's not all bad. This is probably the most neglected Apache Jakarta project and it should be released and replaced with some other Apache license compatible WebDav system, in my opinion.
