Actually I was wrong. You can't delete individual revisions eg.
/slide/history/33/1.1 but you can delete the _entire_ set of revisions at
once by deleting the collection /slide/history/33.  This may be enough for
me assuming that this also cleans up the metadata in the version tables.

This shouldn't be too hard to be programmed. Maybe the version history 
record can be deleted along with the delete of the resource? Maybe 
configurable with a switch in Domain.xml?

Would you want to propose a patch for this?
