Resolution: Fixed
Implemented in Rev. 657746 of the maven-sling-plugin.
The plugin now supports "refreshPackages" configuration property, which may be
set to true (default) to refresh the packages after upload. To manage the
properties using system properties, the "sling.refreshPackages" property may be
set e.g. mvn -Dsling.refreshPackages=xxx
