[SLUG] GNU C/C++ v's ... performance comparison ??

Does anyone know of any performance comparisons between the GNU C/C++ compiler and 
those of commercial vendors?? What about performance comparisons across different 
platforms, say Win95/NT v's
Solaris, Linux, *NIX??
