yep, so why don't they just impose a limit of say 500Mb outgoing
volume per month, anything over that costs extra per Mb?

That way rather than having such stupid rules like "no servers"
(i'd like to see where they define a "server") they don't limit
their customers, and those that want to run a porn server (eg)
pay for anything over the limit such that it's not worthwhile
to permanently run a high outgoing bandwidth site on the cable.
