Goodevening,

I have in my hands a "Compaq Proliant" (CRD-254V if that means anything to
you) with a "Smart-2/P" RAID controller.

After having spent a few minutes trying the default boot image for rh6.1
and receiving a "unknown PCI device" error etc... I'm hoping that another
poor soul such as myself has installed Linux on one of these boxen also.

In short: does Linux support the RAID/SCSI controller in these boxes/is
there a magic redhat "Driver Disk" for this?

(If it helps, I had a look at the controller and it appears that there are
some Symbios Logic chips and a rather large AMD chip on it.. although
trying various controller types on the boot disk didn't seem to get things
detected..)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Danke.
