Forgive me that I haven't kept too close an eye on the Optus Cable
threads,
but wouldn't their other fear be that one one unit connects to the
cable, 6-8
units will have computers connected to that one cable via a proxy server
and
ethernet. Ie put a cable into an appartment, apartment owner will
sublet/give
cable access (via ethernet, ie fast as the cable itself goes) to his
neighbours.
As such, they are losing buisness, but ensuring that the kind of thing
described above doesn't blow out their bandwidth or raise costs for
honest
users
