Argh,
I have my redhat box running a standard firewall script which runs
perfect.. until i installed a IRC server. I can connect to the irc server
from with in my network but if your not on the network it dont let you
connect. Giving me the detailed error message of connection refused.
I added a few lines to my firewall script and they seemed to have gone into
the system okay but still no connection. The lines i added are
ipchains -F ircdA
ipchains -N ircdA
ipchains -A ircdA -s 0/0 6667 -d 0/0 -p TCP -j ACCEPT
The irc server is Elite IRCD
The computer is running RedHat 6.1
The computer has a live ip to an isp and all other services work with no
issues
Any ideas?
Carlo
