I meant when you need things in a hurry as in yesterday so you
ring them and check they've got something suitable then go there
and buy it - rather than the whole ring around, find out prices,
fax purchase orders, wait for delivery blah blah blah.

I agree they're expensive ("over-priced" was the description I
used before) and yes they only seem to know PC shit, but if you
know specifically what you want that doesn't matter.

Usually we buy from a couple of regular suppliers cos (1) we
get good prices (often reseller discounts) and (2) they know us
and can offer advice/reminders like "you'll need a 50 pin centronics
cable for that, do you want us to throw one in?".
