This is sickening. How much more parochial can some people get? The
immense burden that the car-culture places on our environment is going to
leave us *all* worse off. I personally can't wait until petrol soars even
more. Our resources are not infinite, and cars are not indefinitely
sustainable. Anything that encourages the use of alternative transport
mechanisms should be welcomed.
What exactly are you going to do with your lovely Ford Expedition when you
have no oxygen to breath? What is Linux and the Free Software movement
worth if the planet is made uninhabitable by people rooted in the belief
that we're living in some sort of utopian land of infinite plenty?
Open your eyes. And while you're at it, get a bike.
