Last year they had a registration number that they snail mailed to you
after web registration. This number was not apparently stored in their
database, and was only used for generating confusion and delays.
This year it seems they've improved their system by removing the
registration number. <shakes head in disbelief>
Last year I wrote them a long email describing what happened, with
suggestions for how to improve it. The fact that I got no response at
all seemed quite consistent with their demonstrated organisational skills.
My heart sank last year when I heard that the IT exhibition organisers
were organising the Sydney Linux Expo.
