With MS products i generally divide the versions number by 10
making nt 4 nt 0.4
which in my mind makes it alot less crap. I mean, its not even version 1
yet
w2k stuffed it up now, but they are just using a time stamp nowadays, as
version
numbers imply that something is improving =)
they should devote all there programmers to rewriting w2k from scratch
in assembler
=)
stuff backward compatability, most stuff you run on a ms product is a ms
product anyway
